Ephesians 2:10
Before you take a single step, know this: you were created on purpose, for purpose. Ephesians 2:10 reminds us that we are God's handiwork — His masterpiece — and that the good works we're called to were prepared before we even arrived. Walking in purpose doesn't begin with a pair of sneakers or a fitness goal. It begins with the realization that every step you take has spiritual significance. As we prepare for the Community Kickoff on August 29th and the September Walk Challenge, consider what God might be calling you to step into. This week, spend time in prayer asking God to reveal His purpose for your walk — both physical and spiritual. He has already prepared the path. All He asks is that you take the first step.
Psalm 119:105
Before any great journey, there is preparation. Athletes train before a race. Travelers pack before a trip. And before we walk together as a community on August 29th, God is inviting us to prepare our hearts. The psalmist tells us that God's Word is a lamp for our feet and a light on our path. Scripture doesn't always show us the entire road — but it gives us enough light for the next step. This week, as the kickoff approaches, take time to quiet your heart. Open His Word. Listen for His voice. Preparation isn't about perfection. It's about positioning. Position yourself to receive what God has already prepared for you.
2 Corinthians 5:7
Two weeks into the challenge. If you're only measuring success by what you can see — the numbers on your tracker, the miles on your app — you might be missing what God is actually doing. 2 Corinthians 5:7 calls us to live by faith, not by sight. Every walk matters — even the short ones. Every prayer breathed while walking counts. Every moment you chose to show up, even imperfectly, is seen and celebrated by God. Faith walking means trusting that God is working even when the results aren't visible.
Proverbs 16:9
Yesterday we walked together at the Community Kickoff. What a beautiful reminder that when women of faith unite, something powerful happens. But today, the real journey begins. Proverbs 16:9 tells us that we can make our plans, but God establishes our steps. Some days you'll exceed your goal. Other days you'll barely get out the door. Both are okay. What matters is that you keep stepping — trusting that God is using every single step to shape you into who He created you to be. The challenge isn't about perfection. It's about persistence.
Isaiah 40:31
We're one week into the September Walk Challenge, and the initial excitement might be starting to fade. This is exactly where Isaiah 40:31 meets us. It doesn't say those who hope in the Lord will never feel tired. It says their strength will be renewed. Renewal implies that strength was depleted. God meets us in our weariness and breathes fresh life into our tired bodies and spirits. When you walk in your own strength, burnout is inevitable. When you walk in His strength, endurance becomes possible.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
We were never meant to walk alone. From the very beginning, God designed us for community. Ecclesiastes reminds us that two are better than one. When you walk with others, you have someone to encourage you when you're tired, to celebrate with you when you reach a milestone, to pray for you when the journey gets hard. This is the heart of F.L.O.W.4Life — One Community. One Purpose. One Savior. As we approach the Community Kickoff next weekend, invite someone to walk with you. Because the journey is always better together.
2 Timothy 4:7
We've made it. The final week of the September Walk Challenge. Whether you hit every goal or stumbled along the way, you showed up. Paul's words in 2 Timothy 4:7 weren't spoken at the beginning of his journey. They were spoken at the end. He didn't say 'I was perfect.' He said 'I finished. I kept the faith.' That's the goal — not perfection, but faithfulness. Every early morning you laced up your shoes. Every prayer you whispered while walking. All of it matters. This is not the end. It's the beginning of a lifestyle of walking in purpose. Keep stepping. Keep trusting. Keep walking in purpose.
Hebrews 12:1-2
Three weeks in. This is where the challenge gets real. Hebrews 12 gives us the formula for endurance: throw off what hinders, fix your eyes on Jesus, and remember you're not alone. What's hindering you right now? Comparison? Perfectionism? Discouragement? Throw it off. Fix your eyes on Jesus. He didn't just walk — He endured. And remember: you're surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses. The women in this community are cheering you on. Keep going.
