Strength for the Stride
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

We're one week into the September Walk Challenge, and the initial excitement might be starting to fade. This is exactly where Isaiah 40:31 meets us. It doesn't say those who hope in the Lord will never feel tired. It says their strength will be renewed. Renewal implies that strength was depleted. God meets us in our weariness and breathes fresh life into our tired bodies and spirits. When you walk in your own strength, burnout is inevitable. When you walk in His strength, endurance becomes possible.
